The Derby at Bennett's school was a success! Chris went in and set up the track in the morning and then the kids raced cars throughout the day. Nothing official in terms of brackets or anything, but just having fun. Bennett's car originally wouldn't make it over the finish line, so Chris had to add some weight to help it along. We're going to have to give it a bit more help so that hopefully he'll be faster for our Derby.
Many of the parents and staff were very interested, sharing stories, and doing some races of their own. Apparently the maintenance guys even came over whenever they had a spare moment and raced cars.
I wasn't able to go due to a meeting at work that day, but here are a couple of pictures that I got when we picked Bennett up and took down the track.
